The Attack on Pearl Harbor, or the Hawaii Operation, was a Surprise Military strike by the Japanese Navy on December 7th, 1941. It was the single action that brought the U.S. into the war, starting WWII. The Japanese attacked with 353 fighters, bombers, and torpedo planes in two waves of relentless fire. 188 Aircraft; 2,402 Americans were killed, and 1,282 were wounded. It was considered "A day that will live in infamy," and surprised most of the Americans. This attack resulted in the declaration of War on Japan the next day.
